These terms and conditions apply to all removal services provided by Taylor & Chang Removals ("we", "us", "our"), registered in England and Wales, based in Sutton, Surrey.
1. Bookings & Confirmation
A booking is confirmed once you have received written confirmation from us (by email or WhatsApp). We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion. A deposit may be required to secure your date.
2. Quotes
All quotes are based on the information provided at the time of enquiry. If the scope of the move changes significantly (additional items, access difficulties, extra floors), we reserve the right to adjust the price accordingly. We will always inform you of any changes before proceeding.
3. Payment
Payment is due on the day of the move unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept bank transfer and cash. Late or non-payment may result in items being held until payment is received.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the move: full refund of any deposit.
- Cancellations within 48 hours: the deposit is non-refundable.
- Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be requested at least 48 hours in advance.
5. Our Liability
We take great care with all items. In the unlikely event of damage caused by our team, our liability is limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the specific item at its current market value. We are not liable for:
- Items not packed by our team
- Pre-existing damage
- Damage resulting from inadequate or customer-supplied packing materials
- Delays caused by traffic, weather, or circumstances beyond our control
- Items of exceptional value unless declared in advance
6. Your Responsibilities
- Ensure all items to be moved are accessible and ready on the day
- Declare any fragile, high-value, or hazardous items before the move
- Ensure adequate parking and access at both addresses
- Disconnect and prepare all appliances before our arrival
7. Insurance
We carry goods-in-transit and public liability insurance. Full details are available on request. We strongly recommend you also check your own home insurance policy for coverage during a move.
8. Complaints
Any complaints must be raised within 48 hours of the move by contacting us at Info@taylorandchang.com or calling 07708207160. We aim to resolve all complaints within 5 working days.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
